Beverage Carton Annual Spend Calculator

Estimate annual packaging expenditure from beverage-carton volume and the landed cost of the complete entered carton system.

First time using this calculator?

Replace the example values with figures from your supplier sheet or measurements. Choose the unit beside each value. Results update as you type; fix any highlighted field before using the result.

GSM means grams per square metre. Net weight excludes the core and other packaging. MOQ means the minimum order quantity. An optional field can stay blank unless the result you need depends on it.

Prices keep the selected currency; changing its label does not convert an exchange rate. Save or export the result after checking your inputs.

Annual packaging spend

€300,000.00/year
Average quarterly spend€75,000.00/quarter
Average monthly spend€25,000.00/month

Landed unit cost should include the full packaging scope intended for the budget. Periodic figures are averages, not seasonal cash-flow forecasts.

Annual spend = annual finished units × landed packaging cost/unit

1,000,000 × 0.3 = 300,000/year; ÷ 4 = 75,000/quarter; ÷ 12 = 25,000/month

Vary one input and inspect annual packaging spend

All other entered inputs stay fixed. Ranges are your scenarios, not statistical confidence or supplier performance predictions. This uses the same validated calculator engine.

The formula, made clear.

Annual spend = Annual carton units × Landed system cost/unit

The unit cost should have a consistent scope, including cap, straw and freight where those belong in the recurring budget. Multiplication by annual units then produces a packaging-spend baseline. If a tooling charge applies only to the initial purchase, keep its allocation distinct rather than silently treating it as a recurring charge on every future carton.

How to use this calculator

  1. 01

    Enter annual carton-system consumption.

  2. 02

Enter the landed packaging-system cost per sellable unit.

  3. 03

Review annual spend and any average period breakdowns shown.

A calculation you can check

The example scales a defined beverage-carton system cost to an annual consumption plan for purchasing budgeting.

Check the displayed formula and units against your quotation. Use measured GSM, net weight and actual layout dimensions where available. Default densities are planning assumptions, not certified material properties. Calculated cost does not certify strength, compatibility or safe loading.
