QUOTATION A
Quantity price breaks · optional

All-units pricing: the highest qualifying minimum selects one price for the entire order, not progressive bands. Keep the same currency, specification and price basis. The main quoted price applies below the first minimum. Changing the price basis reinterprets the entered schedule. Freight and fees stay as entered; verify them for the new quantity.

Add only charges excluded from the quoted price. Enter 0 for confirmed no-charge items; leave unknown costs blank.

Label specification checklist

Cost, quantity and specification together.

Landed totals need freight, first-order tooling and other fixed charges for every quotation. Enter 0 only for confirmed no-charge items; blank means unknown.

Not supplied for every quotation: Label width × repeat (mm); Facestock / adhesive / liner; Print / coating / die-cut; Winding / core / roll format. Do not assume equivalence.

Vary required good units

This is a scenario comparison, not a performance forecast or statistical confidence interval. Offers must represent equivalent good output and one currency. Existing price tiers, MOQ and whole-pack rounding remain active.

Loss and price scenarios change Supplier A only. Base-price scenarios retain existing tier prices. Unusable fraction must stay below 100%.

A lower price does not establish equivalent performance. The per-required-unit figure allocates cash to current demand; usable surplus remains inventory. Confirm the quotation at the rounded purchase quantity.

The formula, made clear.

Purchased units = max(required usable units ÷ usable fraction, MOQ), rounded up to complete commercial packs. Apply the price break qualifying at that purchased quantity, if entered. First-order total = purchased units × (unit price + extras) + freight + other fixed order charges + tooling.

Use a supplier price for one defined finished item or complete set. Raw material mass or area estimates do not include finished-item conversion automatically. Normalize commercial pack prices using the declared units per case or roll. Compare the same required usable quantity across suppliers, rather than dividing every quote by its own minimum order. Label specifications require a separate check: Label width × repeat (mm); Facestock / adhesive / liner; Print / coating / die-cut; Winding / core / roll format. Text differences are review prompts, not a certification that matching text means equivalent quality.

How to use this calculator

  1. 01

Enter a base supplier price and optional all-units quantity price breaks, its commercial basis and any case or roll count.

  2. 02

Enter your required usable units, supplier MOQ, explicitly known freight and tooling, and any expected unusable fraction.

  3. 03

Review first-order cash requirement, recurring cost, surplus and specification differences; export the comparison for review.

A calculation you can check

Illustrative order: 10,000 usable units, EUR 120 per 1,000, MOQ 12,000, no loss, freight EUR 180 and tooling EUR 300 and no other order charges. Purchase 12,000 units: first-order total EUR 1,920, repeat-order total EUR 1,620 and 2,000 surplus units. EUR 0.192 per required unit describes cash allocated to current demand; it is not the price per purchased unit.

Use Load example in the tool above. The displayed inputs, calculation breakdown and results form a live, auditable worked example.

Check the displayed formula and units against your quotation. Use measured GSM, net weight and actual layout dimensions where available. Default densities are planning assumptions, not certified material properties. Calculated cost does not certify strength, compatibility or safe loading.
