Work through the task
- Record label length, the gap and usable running length. Count complete pitches and actual lanes.
- Determine whole rolls for the required label count. Include documented startup or changeover losses using a consistent convention.
- Normalize roll or thousand-label prices and compare equivalent facestock, adhesive, liner and winding formats.
Tools for this job

At a 50 mm pitch, a 1,000 m usable single-lane roll contains 20,000 labels. A EUR 60 roll has EUR 0.003 material cost per label. Three rolls cover 50,000 labels with 10,000 nominal surplus before losses.
Use your supplier specification and quotation. These numbers demonstrate the arithmetic; they are not market prices or a packaging suitability assessment.
