Work through the task
- Choose the actual transport format and identify liners, fittings, pallets and other included components. Do not infer allowable payload from a nominal size.
- Allocate price over approved planned product payload or fill. Net packaging mass is a different quantity from product capacity.
- Compare like-for-like assemblies and entered delivery costs. Reuse, return, cleaning and loss need an explicitly supported lifecycle scenario.
Tools for this job
FIBC Cost per Tonne Packed Calculator
Allocate the FIBC and optional liner price over a user-entered usable payload to calculate packaging cost per metric tonne packed.
Open calculator →Drum / IBC Packaging Cost per Liter Calculator
Allocate container packaging cost over the entered usable product fill volume and per thousand liters of capacity.
Open calculator →Industrial Sack Order Weight Calculator
Calculate paper or woven-PP sack order weight from actual unit mass, with optional transport packaging weight.
Open calculator →Industrial Packaging Supplier Quote Comparison Calculator
Compare industrial packaging supplier prices, first-order and repeat-order landed cost, MOQ and specification differences.
Open calculator →A worked example
A EUR 150 container filled with an approved planned 900 L allocates about EUR 0.16667 per litre. Dividing by 1,000 L would understate that planned-fill cost. This example does not establish permitted fill.
Use your supplier specification and quotation. These numbers demonstrate the arithmetic; they are not market prices or a packaging suitability assessment.
Checks before you decide
- Approved planned fill or payload
- Liner and fitting scope
