Bottle Cost per 1,000 Calculator
Build a cost per 1,000 plastic bottles from a purchased bottle price or a resin-only material estimate. Add decoration, freight and tooling on their stated bases.
Use a saved product specification (optional)
Enter your values
First time using this calculator?
Replace the example values with figures from your supplier sheet or measurements. Choose the unit beside each value. Results update as you type; fix any highlighted field before using the result.
GSM means grams per square metre. Net weight excludes the core and other packaging. MOQ means the minimum order quantity. An optional field can stay blank unless the result you need depends on it.
Prices keep the selected currency; changing its label does not convert an exchange rate. Save or export the result after checking your inputs.
Help with order quantity
Enter the usable quantity you actually need. Waste, pack rounding or minimum order effects are added separately where required.
Help with freight for this order
Enter the transport charge for the same shipment or order represented by the other fields. Use 0 only when the supplier has confirmed that freight is included.
Help with tooling allocated to this order
Enter one-time plates, dies, cylinders, moulds or setup charges for the first order. Keep this separate from repeat-order cost.
Unit label only. No currency conversion.
Additional measurements (optional) — some values entered
These are only needed for additional result units or a more detailed estimate. Entered values still affect the result when this section is closed.
Cost per 1,000 bottles
Enter decoration separately only if excluded from the bottle quote.
Closures are not included unless already contained in the entered base price.
Bottle cost/1,000 = (base/unit + decoration/unit + (freight + tooling) ÷ quantity) × 1,000
(0.2 + 0.02 + (250 + 0) ÷ 10,000) × 1,000 = 245Saved calculations stay in this browser. No account or cloud backup is created.

Vary one input and inspect cost per 1,000 bottles
All other entered inputs stay fixed. Ranges are your scenarios, not statistical confidence or supplier performance predictions. This uses the same validated calculator engine.
The formula, made clear.
A supplier’s finished-bottle unit price and a calculated resin value cover different scopes. Select the basis deliberately: a resin estimate must still be supplemented with any required conversion costs before it can represent a purchased bottle. Fixed charges are spread across the stated quantity so their effect on the thousand-bottle result remains visible.
How to use this calculator
- 01
Select a finished-bottle quotation or actual-weight resin estimate.
- 02
Enter separate decoration and fixed order charges.
- 03
Review the included cost contributions and thousand-bottle total.
A calculation you can check

Default densities are planning assumptions, not certified material properties. Calculated cost does not certify strength, compatibility or safe loading.
