Paper Reels & Converting Calculators
Work with conditioned grammage, net reels, slit plans and setup losses.
Paper Reel Weight
Use conditioned paper grammage matching the supplied paper and coating scope. Net paper excludes core and wrapping. Moisture state and tolerances can affect real mass.
Paper Reel Length from Net Weight
Subtract core and wrapping tare before entering mass. Match weighing and grammage conditioning states; shipping gross weight overstates paper length.
Paper Reel Material Cost
Normalize tonne quotes to net reel and conditioned paper area. Freight, core charges, converting and separately charged coatings are excluded.
Slitting Lanes and Trim Waste
Reserve both edges as one combined input. Separation allowance applies only between lanes. Count all width not retained as finished strips in total non-finished width.
Slitting Plan Comparison
Compare two explicit equal-width plans after checking edges and knife allowances. Different finished widths must serve the intended demand; maximum material yield alone does not choose a production plan.
Setup Waste Allocation
Allocate measured startup scrap separately from steady-state loss. Divide by released good pieces and avoid counting startup waste twice in a quoted price or BOM.
Before you start
Work with conditioned grammage, net reels, slit plans and setup losses. Use the tool’s displayed scope and limits; estimates do not establish transport safety or certification.
