Packaging Scrap Cost
Measure the material cost of process scrap and deduct an optional scrap recovery value to find net loss.
Printing Plate Cost per Unit
Allocate entered print-form and setup charges to one explicitly defined job. Reused plates need an evidenced allocation policy rather than assumed future runs.
Packaging Print Run Cost
Build a print-conversion budget from fixed charges and a rate billed on gross processed packs. Substrate and other finishing are outside the entered boundary.
Digital versus Flexo Print Break-even
Find the positive continuous cost crossing for two entered printing offers with equivalent good-output scope. Names do not determine which method is cheaper.
Corrugated Board Cost per m²
Convert a board price per kilogram or metric tonne into a square-meter material cost using actual board GSM.
Corrugated Price per Ton to Price per m²
Normalize a metric-tonne corrugated board quotation to prices per kilogram and per square meter at the entered board GSM.

Label Roll Cost per Label
Divide roll material price and optional shipment freight allocation by the total supplied label count.
Shrink Sleeve Cost per Unit
Estimate sleeve film area, mass and cost using the full opened tube width, cut length and film GSM or thickness.
Thermal Transfer Ribbon Length
Estimate running ribbon for one label lane when ribbon advances continuously at the entered repeat. Obtain actual printer feed behaviour before ordering; savings modes change consumption.
Thermal Transfer Ribbon Rolls Required
Order whole compatible ribbon rolls using the usable length of each roll. Check width, winding direction, core and printer specification separately.
Thermal Transfer Print Cost per Label
Allocate consumed ribbon material to good labels. This excludes label stock, printer depreciation, labour and the cash cost of unused whole-roll inventory.
Label Waste Disposal Cost
Cost entered label waste streams for one defined job or period. Use a confirmed net treatment rate for the accepted streams; revenue and subsidies are not assumed.
Plastic Container Material Cost
Calculate raw resin cost from the actual container weight and resin price without inferring weight from capacity.
PCR / Virgin Resin Blend Cost
Calculate weighted raw material cost for a PCR and virgin resin blend with an optional additive loading.
Bottle Cost per 1,000
Combine a bottle quote or raw-resin cost with decoration, freight and allocated tooling per thousand bottles.

Supplier Switch Break-Even Quantity
Calculate how many units are needed to recover a one-time supplier-switch cost from lower recurring unit prices.
Packaging Price Tier Comparison
Compare the cash outlay and surplus inventory of two supplier quantity-price tiers against the same demand.
Packaging Order Overrun Cost
Estimate the extra units and invoice amount at an entered supplier overrun percentage.
Packaging Inventory Coverage
Convert available usable packaging stock into operating days at an explicit daily usage rate.
Packaging Reorder Point
Calculate a simple replenishment trigger from daily demand, supplier lead time and explicitly chosen safety stock.
Packaging MOQ and Holding Cost
This snapshot holds surplus constant during the entered interval. It is for stock not consumed during that time, not a continuous drawdown model. Keep initial material cash separate from holding expense.
Packaging Order Size Cost Comparison
Model full equal batches, constant consumption and average cycle stock of half a batch. Show final surplus separately. The holding approximation excludes extra retained final surplus and safety stock.
Supplier Early-Payment Discount
Compare a confirmed invoice discount with simple financing on the discounted payment for days accelerated. Excludes tax, fees, cash constraints and compounding.
Packaging Split Delivery Cost
Use freight quotes for each schedule and separately estimated storage. Supplier price and total purchased quantity are assumed identical; reconfirm charges if delivery terms change.
Obsolete Packaging Inventory Cost
Exclude approved usable or reworkable stock from affected quantity. This estimates operational exposure after a specification change, not an accounting-policy determination.
Packaging System Scenario Comparison
Use complete BOM costs for two qualified systems and add assembly and order charges once. This compares whole systems, while supplier comparison pages compare offers within one packaging specification.
Packaging Order Deadline Planner
Work backwards from a required-on-site date using entered qualification, approval, production, transit, receiving and buffer intervals.
Packaging RFQ Builder
Create a filled packaging request for quotation and supplier-response CSV from a versioned SKU specification, measurements, evidence and delivery requirements.
Product to Box Dimensions
Add allowances on both opposing faces. Internal fit dimensions and external shipping dimensions remain separate. Use final converter-confirmed external measurements before requesting freight.
Items per Carton
Evaluate six orthogonal orientations of identical rectangular envelopes. Include required protection in each item envelope. Mixed patterns can fit more items; this is a uniform-grid result.
Packaging Shipment CBM
Use finished external dimensions rather than internal dimensions or flat blanks. This tool totals one identical carton line; calculate mixed lines separately and add their volumes.
Package Dimensional and Billable Weight
Enter a divisor and rounding increment confirmed for your service and contract. This estimates weight, not a carrier tariff. Check dimension rounding and size surcharges separately.
Box Size Comparison
Compare external envelopes before requesting freight quotes. A lower cube does not necessarily change rounded billable weight or establish that the product remains protected.
Freight Cost per Packaged Unit
Allocate one shipment charge across usable pieces. Prefer actual accepted quantity; forecast rejection is a stated planning assumption.
Pallets per Container Floor
Check two uniform pallet orientations on a rectangular floor using your actual usable measurements. Loaded dimensions include overhang; this is not a mixed-pattern optimiser.
Vehicle Pallet Payload Limit
Combine a confirmed geometric count with remaining total payload. Gross pallet mass includes pallet and wrapping. Do not treat total payload compliance as axle-load compliance.
Pallet Freight Cost per Product
Allocate a quoted pallet shipment charge through a verified packing hierarchy. All counts refer to the same actual shipment, not theoretical vehicle capacity.
Carton Size for Quantity Calculator
Find candidate internal carton dimensions for a target count of identical protected rectangular items, with explicit wall clearance, gaps and orientation rules.
Stretch Film Cost per Pallet
Weigh representative actual qualified wrap cycles. Include tails and rewraps in the measurement. Measured consumption avoids guessing savings from nominal prestretch or thickness.
Stretch Wrapper Payback
Use comparable measured labour and qualified film processes. Include installed equipment and changed operating expenses. Simple cash payback excludes financing, taxes and discounting.
Shrink Film Cost per Bundle
Enter the full opened web width, twice the folded width for centre-fold film. Cut length comes from the actual qualified process, not a guessed product perimeter.
Packing Tape Length per Box
Count top and bottom centre seams. H-seal adds two cross strips on each face. Extension is added at both ends of every strip.
Packing Tape Rolls Required
Add loss on gross input, then round up whole purchased rolls. Do not confuse the consumed-tape allowance with unused stock after rounding.
Tape Cost per Sealed Box
Normalize quotations by usable length and actual consumption. This is recurring allocated cost; initial cash for whole purchased rolls and labour are separate.
Strapping Consumption per Load
Measure the actual path including the pallet if applicable. Add machine or joint allowance once per strap. Different strap directions need separate calculations.
Strapping Cost per Load
Add seals or buckles if separately charged. Enter zero for confirmed consumable-free welding. Loss applies to strap, not joint count.
Hot Melt Glue Bead Consumption
Estimate a circular bead from measured application geometry and entered density. Flattened, intermittent or foamed applications need measured dosage instead.
Hot Melt Glue Order Requirement
Plan adhesive demand using a validated weighed dose and an explicit gross-input loss fraction. Confirm that the dose does not already contain purge or reject consumption.
Hot Melt Glue Cost per Carton
Cost hot-melt material from an actual dose. Compare adhesives only after equivalent bond performance and operating conditions are qualified.
Void Fill Cost per Parcel
Measure dosage and usable pack yield in the same dispensed state. Nominal compressed bag volume is not necessarily usable dispensed volume.
Protective Packaging Set Comparison
Compare complete qualified sets, including assembly. Higher component cost may be offset by lower assembly time. Damage performance remains a separate requirement.
Packaging Right-Sizing Break-Even
Use actual quoted freight for each finished package and complete material cost including protection. A volume reduction does not prove a freight saving.
Packaging Damage Cost
Value damage incidents for an explicit period using observed rates and net unrecovered loss. Document included refund, replacement, handling and recoveries without double counting.
Protective Packaging Change ROI
Evaluate a protection change using measured or explicitly assumed before/after rates. Costs belong to the same scope and period; trial differences are not proof of causation.
Protection Damage Reduction Break-even
Calculate the absolute damage-rate reduction needed to cover a protection change. Compare this with a measured baseline and a credible trial; it is not a forecast of achievable protection.
Paper Reel Weight
Use conditioned paper grammage matching the supplied paper and coating scope. Net paper excludes core and wrapping. Moisture state and tolerances can affect real mass.
Paper Reel Length from Net Weight
Subtract core and wrapping tare before entering mass. Match weighing and grammage conditioning states; shipping gross weight overstates paper length.
Paper Reel Material Cost
Normalize tonne quotes to net reel and conditioned paper area. Freight, core charges, converting and separately charged coatings are excluded.
Slitting Lanes and Trim Waste
Reserve both edges as one combined input. Separation allowance applies only between lanes. Count all width not retained as finished strips in total non-finished width.
Slitting Plan Comparison
Compare two explicit equal-width plans after checking edges and knife allowances. Different finished widths must serve the intended demand; maximum material yield alone does not choose a production plan.
Setup Waste Allocation
Allocate measured startup scrap separately from steady-state loss. Divide by released good pieces and avoid counting startup waste twice in a quoted price or BOM.
Returnable Packaging Cost per Trip
Allocate the stated lifecycle over completed outbound uses. Residual value is an economic assumption, not a refundable deposit. Check lifecycle assumptions against actual losses and retirements.
Returnable versus Single-Use Break-Even
Separate initial investment from return, cleaning and repair costs. Economic break-even assumes all stated uses occur and residual is realised; it is not the initial cash-payback date.
Returnable Packaging Pool Size
Include outbound transit, customer dwell, return transit and processing in cycle time. Dispatch and cycle use the same day basis. The entered buffer is not a service-level guarantee.
Returnable Packaging Loss Cost
Loss rate is defined per dispatch, not per pool or per year. Fractional expected counts are a planning average; actual losses are whole containers and can differ.
Returnable Logistics Cost per Trip
Allocate reverse freight over actually returned usable containers. Do not use nominal truck capacity or add original outbound freight a second time.
Packaging Material Reduction
Compare complete packaging mass for the same product count. Negative savings mean the new system is heavier. Mass reduction alone does not establish carbon or recyclability improvement.
Weighted Packaging Recycled Content
Weight supplier-verified fractions by actual component mass. Unknown content is not confirmed zero; obtain evidence and define the included component scope before using a result in a claim.
Seal Strength Unit Converter
Rescale the reporting basis and convert newtons to gram-force. Normalization does not predict actual force at a different strip width or make test methods equivalent.
OTR Unit Converter
Convert only reporting area for the same observation. Keep temperature, humidity, pressure, gas conditions, specimen and method unchanged. This is not a conversion between different test conditions.
WVTR Unit Converter
Convert only reporting area for the same observation. Keep temperature, humidity, pressure, gas conditions, specimen and method unchanged. This is not a conversion between different test conditions.
Before you start
Choose a quotation comparison for competing suppliers or a bill of materials for the complete packaging system. Enter purchase quantity, currencies and recurring charges explicitly; annual spend needs an entered demand assumption.
